Sake Meguri 2026 Brings 20 Japanese Breweries and a New VIP Session to Marina Bay Sands

For one weekend only, Sake.sg returns to the Sands Expo & Convention Centre with the fourth edition of Grand Sake Meguri, and this year it stretches across two days instead of one. More than 20 master brewers from Japan are flying in, pouring over 200 premium sake labels across three timed sessions, and the festival is adding a Friday VIP session for the first time. Early-bird single tickets are S$58 (usual S$65), and a bundle of four is S$199 (usual S$240), which makes this one of the most affordable ways to taste rare sake in Singapore this year.

The event runs from Friday 24 July to Saturday 25 July 2026 at the Peony Junior Ballroom inside Sands Expo, a short sheltered walk from Bayfront MRT. Organisers expect more than 1,000 attendees across the weekend, so booking ahead is sensible. Walk-in tickets, if any remain, are sold at the door subject to availability.

Three sessions, including a first-ever VIP preview

The new VIP session opens the festival on Friday 24 July, 5pm to 9pm, and it is the only session where you can sample rare and highly sought-after labels with close-up access to the brewers. VIP entry is not sold openly. You unlock it through Sake.sg membership: spend at least S$500 in a single checkout and you receive one complimentary VIP ticket, or spend at least S$250 to buy up to two VIP tickets at S$49.90 each. Every VIP ticket also comes with a S$10 Grab voucher. Purchase codes are emailed within three working days after the qualifying order is confirmed, and separate transactions cannot be combined.

General admission follows on Saturday 25 July in two four-hour slots, 10am to 2pm and 3pm to 7pm. Each ticket covers the chosen session and a goodie bag that Sake.sg values at more than S$400, filled with small sake bottles and vouchers for Sen-ryo, Uoharu, and The CHOYA Ginza Bar. Admission is strictly 18 and above, and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

What you will actually taste

The brewery list mixes returning names with a few new additions. Confirmed producers include Katsuyama from Miyagi Prefecture (known for its Supreme range), Umenoyado, Hakkaisan Brewery, CHOYA Umeshu, and Kirishima Shuzo. That spread covers junmai, ginjo, umeshu, and honjozo styles, so a first-timer can move from light and fragrant to rich and savoury in a single session without repeating a pour.

Event-only pricing is the real draw for buyers. Sake.sg advertises discounts of up to 60% off bottle prices during the festival, and the Surprise Box promotion returns for 2026 with curated mystery selections. Anyone who spends at least S$200 at the event also enters a lucky draw, with a grand prize from yacht experience provider MS Eternity valued at up to S$3,000.

Buying bottles without carrying them

One practical detail that regulars already know: you do not haul bottles around the hall. Orders are placed by scanning QR codes at the booths, the entrance, and the event leaflet, then delivered to your home within three working days. Delivery is S$10 for orders under S$100 and free for orders of S$100 or more. There is no onsite collection, so plan your order list before the last hour of your slot.
