SIGEP Asia and Restaurant Asia 2026 Take Over Sands Expo Halls A, B and C This Week

From 15 to 17 July 2026, the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands hosts the third edition of SIGEP Asia and Restaurant Asia, the trade-only F&B and foodservice expo that IEG Asia co-organises with the Restaurant Association of Singapore. Across Halls A, B and C, the show covers artisan gelato, pastry, bakery, coffee, chocolate, pizza and the broader hospitality supply chain, and it runs co-located with Speciality Food and Drinks Asia and Speciality Coffee and Tea Asia. For anyone in the F&B industry in the region, this is the dominant B2B event of the week in Singapore, and for visitors to Marina Bay Sands it explains the unusually high number of chefs, buyers and hospitality staff moving through Bayfront MRT and the Sands Expo lobby between Wednesday and Friday.

The 2026 edition is positioned by the organiser as the most ambitious to date, with 150 qualified buyers from ASEAN and APAC countries, a hosted-buyer programme, and exhibitor nominations for up to three hosted buyers each for personalised meetings. The 2025 edition drew 449 exhibitors from 41 countries and more than 12,000 trade visitors, and the 2026 edition is built to scale beyond that. It is a trade-only show, not a consumer food fair: registration is required, and entry is restricted to industry professionals.

The headline competitions running on the show floor

Gelato World Cup Asia Selection at SIGEP Asia 2026 at Marina Bay Sands, where Asia's gelato artisans compete for a place at the 2028 world final in Rimini

The most distinctive part of the 2026 programme is the cluster of world-class competitions running live across the three days. The Gelato World Cup Asia Selection is the headline: Asia's top gelato artisans compete head-to-head, and the winning team earns the right to represent Asia at the 2028 Gelato World Cup in Rimini, Italy. The Bakery World Cup Asia Selection, themed Bread in the City, runs in collaboration with the Singapore Bakery and Confectionery Trade Association, Richemont Club Italy and Richemont International, with winners advancing to the Bakery World Championship in 2027. The Singapore National Coffee Championship, organised by the Singapore Coffee Association, runs across four categories: Barista, Brewers Cup, Latte Art and Cup Tasters.

These three competitions alone account for a significant slice of the show floor, and they are the reason the halls are unusually busy with international judges and team delegations. The Gelato World Cup Asia Selection is the only one that qualifies a regional winner for a global final, which is why the SIGEP Asia organisers have positioned it as the marquee draw for 2026.

Chocolate, pizza, coffee and the UIBC Congress

Beyond the headline competitions, the show has a set of dedicated pavilions and programmes. The Chocolate Pavilion, branded CoCo, brings together pastry chefs and chocolate masters, and features the Chocolate Wall Art Installation by Brand Ambassador Janice Wong, one of Asia's most decorated pastry chefs. The Pizza Experience is a dedicated session led by Brand Ambassador Chef Antonio Brancato, focused on the artistry of authentic Italian pizza-making. The Speciality Coffee track runs Coffee Value Assessment and Cupping Sessions through Bettr Academy, certified by the Speciality Coffee Association, for both industry professionals and coffee enthusiasts.

The International Union of Bakers and Confectioners (UIBC) Congress runs immediately before the show, which the organisers describe as a landmark week of global industry engagement in Singapore, uniting master bakers and confectionery experts from across the world. The Panettone Masterclass by Maestro Giuseppe Piffaretti builds on his 2025 Asia Selections sessions and is one of the few tickets at the show focused on a single heritage product.

The industry programme behind the show floor

The third edition of the IFBA Roundtable, organised by the International Food and Beverage Association in collaboration with the Hospitality Alliance Singapore, runs on the theme "From Globalisation to a Multipolar Reality", covering economic reset, supply chain resilience, technology as enabler, changing guest behaviour and labour and leadership reset. The RAS Symposium, hosted by the Restaurant Association of Singapore, is the local industry-facing programme, with networking across RAS's 500-plus members and 800-plus brands operating more than 5,000 outlets. A Technology and Innovation Pavilion covers AI, smart POS, food waste management and next-generation kitchen technology, and a Nightlife and Entertainment Pavilion hosts the 2026 Buyers and Exhibitors Networking Night.

The IEG XP visitor programme extends the show beyond the halls with special dining deals and hotel rates across Singapore, which means registered attendees also get preferential access to a curated set of Marina Bay Sands and city restaurants during the show week. The full exhibitor and talk schedule is on the official SIGEP Asia site.

Getting in and what to know before you go

The show is at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Halls A, B and C, Level 1, 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956, with Bayfront MRT (CE1/DT16) as the nearest station. Doors are open from 10am to 6pm on the 15 July opening day. Registration is via sigepasia.com.sg and is trade-only: you need to be an industry professional to enter, with the registration page asking for company, role and sector. Walk-in registration on the day is possible but slower, and the busiest day is typically the Wednesday opening, so a pre-registered badge is the faster route.
